Hi,
thought i would p*filtered* this info onto the users.Theres a pmr radio known as phillips fm 1000 and 1100 these will run on 2 mtrs with a pair of chips from PA4 DEN @£15.00.There is also a web site for the phillips fm 1000/1100 so loads of help/info.The radio delivers 30 watts and runs 25 and 12.5 steps also some of them have built in ctss which you can change to suit.My phillips is a 1100 and cost me £15 plus £15 for the chips so for £30 im on 2 mtrs fm and all coverage of the fm part of 2 mtrs..
So at the next rally look out for these radios.
Incidentally tetra communications(northampton)have all the spares plus they are all amatuers.They will also set up your phillips for you..Hope this helps Dave G0AYD.
