|
|
Hi All,
I know that this is not specific to GB3JB, however, I know that quite a few users of 'JB' also operate on 4m, so this may be of interest to some.
The 4m Beacon, GB3WSX, (70.007 Mhz) which has been off air for a couple of weeks, for the repair of the dead PA and refurbishment (by Peter G3BPM) of the 4 element beam, was put back on air this afternoon by Clem G3UGR (Keeper) and Dave G3ZXX.
It is operating with an approx., ERP of 30 watts and a beam heading of 70 degrees.
The beacon is co-located, with GB3YS (the 70cm repeater) on the roof of Yeovil College.
I'm sure that Clem would be pleased to receive any reception reports, via this email address.
However, please note that due to an interference problem with some very sensitive scientific equipment currently in use at the college, the beacon is currently switching 'OFF' at 9:00 am in the mornings and 'ON' at 5:00 pm in the evenings, so as not to cause problems with experiments / measurements.
